About Table Lamps

Table lamps are tabletop light fittings that combine lighting with a decorative presence in a room. Fluxenna makes personalised table lamps to order using its own handcrafted process in Spain. Available in 4 models —spiral, pleated, organic and modern— and more than 12 colours. Height between 20 and 40 cm; made in 24 hours from order confirmation.

Choosing a table lamp is not just a lighting decision. It is a composition decision. A bedside table with a lamp at the wrong scale, or a living room with a table lamp that does not relate to the rest of the furniture, is noticed by anyone who walks into the room.

Why choose a handcrafted table lamp over a standard catalogue lamp

Mass-produced table lamps are made in runs of thousands of units. The result is a product that works but rarely fits perfectly: generic proportions, limited colours, finishes designed to please everyone —and that is exactly why they never stand out anywhere.

Fluxenna personalised table lamps are made in Spain using our own handcrafted process, one at a time, to order. There is no stockpile and there are no seasonal collections. Each piece is produced after the order is confirmed, in the colour and size the customer chooses. Production takes 24 hours. Shipping is free on orders over 45 €.

None of your neighbours will have the lamp you receive, because it is not on the shelves of any big-box store.

Types of table lamps in the Fluxenna range

Spiral table lamp

A helical structure that works well in Nordic or minimalist interiors. The play of light and shadow it casts on the wall changes with the angle of the light source. It works on bedside tables and also as a desk lamp when you want something with more character than an anglepoise.

Pleated table lamp

Inspired by folded textile shapes. Its visual volume is greater than the spiral model, which makes it better suited to living rooms or reading corners where the lamp has to carry the visual weight of the space. In neutral colours it suits wabi-sabi and Japandi styles; in saturated colours it works as a focal point in boho interiors.

Organic table lamp

An irregular profile reminiscent of ceramics. It is the most versatile lamp in the range because it is not tied to a specific style: it suits Mediterranean settings, interiors with natural materials and eclectic arrangements. Available in heights from 20 cm —for bedside tables— up to 40 cm for console tables or side tables.

Modern table lamp

Straight lines, restrained geometry. For spaces where the rest of the furniture already has personality and the lamp needs to blend in without competing.

How to choose a table lamp for the living room or bedside table

There are three variables to be clear about before you choose:

Relative height

A bedside table lamp works best when the lower edge of the shade sits at shoulder height for someone sitting up in bed. For a standard 55-60 cm bedside table, a lamp between 30 and 40 cm tall is the usual proportion.

For a table lamp in a living or dining room, the reference changes: if it sits on a console table or sideboard 80-90 cm high, a 35-40 cm lamp keeps the arrangement balanced.

Colour in relation to the space

In rooms with white or earth-toned walls, matt colours in sage green, terracotta or black work effortlessly. In spaces already full of colour, off-white or light grey give the room space to breathe.

Main function

A table lamp on a bedside table has to provide enough reading light without disturbing the person sleeping next to you. A desk lamp needs more light output and better beam direction. A decorative lamp in a living room can put visual effect ahead of the amount of light.

Personalisation with Fluxenna: how it works

Every table lamp in the range can be personalised in colour from a palette of more than 12 options. The process is straightforward: you choose the model, specify the colour when you order, and the piece is made in 24 hours in Spain.

For personalised children's night lights —with names, themed motifs or specific colours for a child's bedroom— there is a dedicated line within the range. The personalisation process is the same, with additional motif and font options.

Shipping is free on orders over 45 €. With multi-piece orders —lamps for two bedside tables, for example— a single order usually goes over that threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

A table lamp is a self-contained light fitting that rests on a horizontal surface: bedside table, desk, console, or sideboard. A wall light is fixed directly to the wall. A table lamp is portable and requires no fixed electrical installation — a nearby socket is all you need.

The catalogue offers more than 15 colours — from off-white and matte black to shades such as sage green, terracotta, petroleum blue, and cement grey. The colour is chosen at the time of ordering. If you have a specific Pantone or RAL reference, you can ask before confirming.

Production time is 24 hours from order confirmation. Transport time is added to that and varies by destination. Shipping is free for orders over 45 €.

For a standard bedside table of 55–60 cm in height, a lamp between 20 and 40 cm works well in proportion. The key factor is that the bottom edge of the shade sits roughly at shoulder height for someone lying down. This way the light reaches you without direct glare.

Yes. During the ordering process you can enter a delivery address different from the billing address. If you’d like the order to arrive with a note or specific gift packaging, you can mention it in the order notes before confirming.

The price range for Fluxenna lamps runs from €25 to €90. Lamps from large retailers can be found from €20, but without any personalisation options. The price difference reflects the individual made-to-order production process and proprietary design, not a premium brand mark-up.

Yes, and it sometimes works better than an exact pair. Combining, for example, a spiral lamp and an organic one in the same colour creates cohesion without forced symmetry. The important thing is to keep the same approximate height and the same colour, or two colours already present in the room.
