Types of table lamps in the Fluxenna range

Spiral table lamp

A helical structure that works well in Nordic or minimalist interiors. The play of light and shadow it casts on the wall changes with the angle of the light source. It works on bedside tables and also as a desk lamp when you want something with more character than an anglepoise.

Pleated table lamp

Inspired by folded textile shapes. Its visual volume is greater than the spiral model, which makes it better suited to living rooms or reading corners where the lamp has to carry the visual weight of the space. In neutral colours it suits wabi-sabi and Japandi styles; in saturated colours it works as a focal point in boho interiors.

Organic table lamp

An irregular profile reminiscent of ceramics. It is the most versatile lamp in the range because it is not tied to a specific style: it suits Mediterranean settings, interiors with natural materials and eclectic arrangements. Available in heights from 20 cm —for bedside tables— up to 40 cm for console tables or side tables.

Modern table lamp

Straight lines, restrained geometry. For spaces where the rest of the furniture already has personality and the lamp needs to blend in without competing.

How to choose a table lamp for the living room or bedside table

There are three variables to be clear about before you choose:

Relative height

A bedside table lamp works best when the lower edge of the shade sits at shoulder height for someone sitting up in bed. For a standard 55-60 cm bedside table, a lamp between 30 and 40 cm tall is the usual proportion.

For a table lamp in a living or dining room, the reference changes: if it sits on a console table or sideboard 80-90 cm high, a 35-40 cm lamp keeps the arrangement balanced.

Colour in relation to the space

In rooms with white or earth-toned walls, matt colours in sage green, terracotta or black work effortlessly. In spaces already full of colour, off-white or light grey give the room space to breathe.

Main function

A table lamp on a bedside table has to provide enough reading light without disturbing the person sleeping next to you. A desk lamp needs more light output and better beam direction. A decorative lamp in a living room can put visual effect ahead of the amount of light.
