The place card with base holds each guest's name in freestanding letters mounted on their own stand. It stays upright by itself, without leaning on the plate or the glass, so it organises the table like a small tabletop sign and can be read from any angle.
Design and detail
The letters stand up individually, separated from one another, and let light through the gaps. The base is thin and straight, the same colour as the name, and adds stability without stealing the spotlight. By candlelight or evening light, each letter casts its own long shadow on the table linen, and the whole piece gains volume when seen from the front.
Features
- Extra-thick freestanding letters mounted on a matching rectangular base.
- A single, stable piece: stands upright on the plate, the table or the sideboard.
- Edge with fine vertical lines running up the height of each letter.
- Four widths, from 5 to 15 cm, and heat resistance in use up to 55 °C.
How to style it
In night blue on a linen tablecloth with natural-toned china, it works for formal dinners and winter settings with candles and fir branches. In bone white or stone grey, it suits Nordic-style weddings; in terracotta or caramel, Mediterranean lunchtime receptions. It stands out especially on bare wood, because the colour contrast separates the piece from the background. Place it at the centre of the plate or in front of the glass.
Personalisation
Type the name and choose from more than 50 fonts: from stately classic serifs to straight, minimalist sans-serifs. Available in more than 20 colours and four widths, so you can order as many pieces as there are guests at the table.
Each piece is made to order in around 24 h and delivered in 3-5 days, so it is worth finalising your guest list well ahead of the date.
Frequently asked questions
Does it stand up on its own?
Yes. The base is part of the same piece and keeps it stable, with no need for a stand or for leaning it on the tableware.
Which width should I choose?
From 8 to 12 cm is the comfortable size for an individual plate. The 15 cm size looks best on the top table or as a table number sign.
Can I order a different name on each piece?
Yes. Each place card is personalised separately, so the whole list goes in a single order.
At Fluxenna, quality is non-negotiable. That is why we follow a strict workflow:
- Made to Measure: Every piece is made to order within 2 working days, ensuring thorough quality control and the post-processing needed for a professional finish.
- Transparent Logistics: Once your piece is finished, your order is dispatched straight away. You can check the delivery times and costs for your location during checkout, before you complete your order
