These wedding place cards with an initial and a name turn every seat at the table into a detail made for one specific person. The letter holds the name in calligraphy and stands upright on the plate, on the napkin or next to the glass. When the reception is over, each guest takes theirs home.
Design and detail
The initial is based on a serif typeface with pronounced serifs, a broad stem and a generous curve. Across it runs the name in joined-up calligraphy, raised in relief above the plane of the letter. That step in height creates fine shadows that change with the light in the room. Everything comes in a single piece, with no joins or loose parts.

How to style it
On a Mediterranean wedding table it works in terracotta or sage green, next to olive branches and a linen tablecloth. For a Nordic setting, choose bone white or stone grey on pale tableware. For first communions and christenings, dusty pink and sky blue soften the look. The 20 and 30 cm heights go on to decorate a shelf or a side table afterwards.
