About Decorative Vases

Decorative vases are interior decor pieces that act as a visual focal point on shelves, console tables and tables, with or without flowers. Fluxenna makes decorative vases by hand and to order in three distinct styles: Japandi, ribbed and organic. Each model is available in heights from 15 to 45 cm and in more than 12 colours. Suitable for the living room, dining room, hallway and bedroom.

Why a handcrafted designer vase is not the same as a mass-market one

A high-street vase comes out of the same mould as thousands of identical units. Fluxenna decorative vases are produced one at a time, using our own handcrafted process, once the order is confirmed. The result is tangible: no rough edges, no visible seams, and consistent finishes across units in the same batch.

The second point is colour personalisation. At a homeware chain, you choose from what is in stock. Here you select the finish before production starts, from more than 12 options. That way the vase fits the real palette of your space, not the other way round.

Production takes 24 hours from order confirmation. Shipping is free on orders over 45 €. For projects that need several coordinated pieces, batch production guarantees colour consistency across units.

Fluxenna's three decorative vase styles

Japandi vase

The Japandi style combines the proportions of Japanese ceramics with Scandinavian restraint: a silhouette with a broad base, a narrow neck and an unadorned surface. The result is a vase that works as a purely decorative piece on its own, and also with long-stemmed flowers or eucalyptus branches.

Available heights range from 20 to 45 cm. The 35–45 cm size acts as a focal point when placed on the floor next to a sofa or on a large coffee table. The 20–25 cm models fit on sideboards and hallway console tables without taking up useful surface space.

The palette that best supports the proportions of this style is off-white, greige, muted terracotta or sage green. These finishes add no extra colour weight in interiors with an established palette.

Ribbed vase

Vertical ribs add tactile texture without extra colour. It is the easiest to combine in the range: in a Nordic style it works in white or light grey; in a Mediterranean interior with whitewashed walls it holds its own in terracotta or cobalt blue; in industrial spaces, in matt black or graphite.

Available from 15 cm, so it fits on shelves 30–40 cm deep, in display cabinets and on side tables where a larger vase would take up useful space. It is also the model that works best in groupings of three different heights on a console table or sideboard.

Organic vase

The irregular shapes of the organic vase take their cue from natural objects: polished stones, hand-built clay vessels, roots. The asymmetry is part of the design, not a production variation. This style is close to the wabi-sabi aesthetic, where imperfection is a measure of beauty, not a flaw.

It works in boho-inspired or contemporary rustic interiors, or in spaces that combine natural materials: raw wood, rattan, linen, stone. It is also the best at holding wild branches, pampas grass and wildflowers. Available in heights from 15 to 40 cm.

How to choose the right decorative vase for each space

Height and placement

Vases of 15 to 20 cm fit on shelves, in display cabinets and on small side tables. The 25 to 35 cm range suits hallway console tables, sideboards and dining table centrepieces. From 35 cm upwards, a vase needs visual space around it so it does not compete with nearby furniture.

On the floor, the 40–45 cm models only work against a neutral wall. Against a busy background (densely patterned wallpaper, a gallery wall), the piece gets lost instead of defining the corner.

With or without flowers

Narrow-necked vases are designed for dried branches, pampas grass or single stems. Wide-mouthed vases take compact arrangements or are used empty as purely decorative objects. Fluxenna lists the opening of each model on the product page to help you choose.

For cut flowers in water, the materials of Fluxenna vases are waterproof. They need no sealing or prior treatment. Clean the outside with a damp cloth.

Decor style of the space

In minimalist or Nordic interiors, the ribbed vase in white or grey blends in without adding visual noise. In bright Mediterranean spaces with warm materials, the organic vase in terracotta or olive green is the best fit. In contemporary interiors with a neutral palette and one or two accents of colour, the Japandi vase in the accent colour completes the arrangement.

For interior design projects that need coordinated pieces in different formats, Fluxenna's three styles are compatible with each other: they share visual proportions that let you mix them in the same space without them competing.

Frequently Asked Questions

In Nordic spaces, with light wood, walls in white or very light grey and natural textiles, the ribbed vase in white or grey fits in without adding extra visual weight. Japandi in greige or off-white also works well, especially in formats of 30 cm or more as a focal element on consoles or wide shelves.

A vase without flowers works as a sculptural object, not as a container. The key is in the proportion: a large format on its own on an uncluttered surface has more impact than three small ones squeezed together. Material, texture and colour do the visual work. If the vase is interesting in its own right, flowers are optional.

For a console 100–120 cm long, the usual approach is a composition of one or three elements, never two (it ends up symmetrical and static). One option is a tall vase 35–40 cm as the central axis with two lower objects on either side. Another is three vases of different heights in the same finish.

Yes. All models can be personalised in colour before confirming the order. There are more than 12 finishes available, from neutral whites and greys to greens, blues, terracottas and blacks. The product configurator shows each finish applied to the chosen model. There is no price difference between colours: they all have the same base cost.

Production starts within 24 hours of order confirmation. The total delivery time is 3 to 5 working days for peninsular Spain. Shipping is free on orders of 45 € or more. Multiple coordinated orders in the same finish are shipped together once the production batch is complete.

Yes, and it is the standard use case in decoration projects. To guarantee chromatic consistency between units — for example three vases of different heights in the same finish — it is best to contact Fluxenna before confirming the order. Batch production ensures that all pieces share exactly the same colour finish.

Yes. The materials used are waterproof and do not require sealing or prior treatment to be used with flowers and water inside. Exterior cleaning is done with a damp cloth. They are not designed for permanent outdoor use or for prolonged exposure to the elements or extreme temperatures.

If the product arrives with shipping damage, Fluxenna arranges a replacement at no additional cost. For returns for other reasons, the standard 14-day policy from receipt applies. As these are made-to-order items personalised in colour, we recommend consulting the full returns policy before confirming your order.
