Kids' door name signs are plaques that mark out a child's or baby's bedroom. Fluxenna makes each plaque to order in 48–72 hours: a themed silhouette with the name raised in a second colour. Hang them with cord or stick them on with adhesive, with no drilling into the door.
Why put their name on their bedroom door?
A name sign on the door says the room is theirs. It works especially well at three moments: a new baby's arrival, moving to a new home and the move from the cot to a "big kid's room". In homes with several siblings, every door can also be told apart from the hallway.
The name is raised and in a different colour from the plaque, so it can be read from several metres away. The themed silhouette (a dinosaur, a rocket, a cloud) means your child recognises their door even before they can read.
Unlike a vinyl sticker or a paper sign, the plaque has real depth: about 8 mm from base to letters. It won't peel off when doors slam, and it can be taken down and moved to another door when they change rooms.
Door name plaque themes
Each theme has its own figure and a suggested colour pairing, which you can change when you personalise it:
- Dinosaur: a brachiosaurus in profile with the name on its back. The most popular choice for ages 2 to 8.
- Space: a rocket, a ringed planet and stars. Pairs with the Space name letters.
- Safari: a lion's head and palm leaves in sandy tones. The most neutral option, with a boho feel.
- Cloud & rainbow: a cloud with a pink rainbow. The top pick as a new baby gift.
- Whale, Forest, Digger and Football: a whale with waves, a fox asleep among pine trees, a digger, and a pitch with ball and goal. The Forest design pairs with the Forest name letters.
How to choose a bedroom door name sign
- Size to suit the name. There are four widths: 15, 20, 25 and 30 cm. For short names, 15 or 20 cm is enough; for long or double-barrelled names, choose 25 or 30 cm so it reads well from the hallway. There's no letter limit.
- Colours to suit the door. On a white door, go for a coloured plaque and a light name (olive and cream, navy blue and yellow). On a coloured door, a light plaque and a dark name. You choose both separately from 25 shades.
- Letter style. Eight fonts, from rounded and playful to calligraphic, for a door sign that's sweeter or more elegant.
- Hanging and height. Use cord if you want to remove it without leaving a mark; adhesive if the door opens and closes a lot. For a child, hang it at their eye level (about 110 cm from the floor); for a baby, at adult height.
Door name signs for a baby, girl or boy
On a baby's door, soft tones and rounded shapes work best: the cloud and rainbow or the whale, with the name in pink, lilac or blue. It's a nursery door name sign often ordered before the birth, once the name has been chosen.
In the bedroom of a girl or boy already at school, the theme takes the lead: dinosaur, space, digger or football, in brighter colours. The colour palettes aren't tied to gender: choose whichever goes with their room.

If you're after the cheapest option, vinyl does the job. If you want their name in their favourite theme and in the colours of their room, the plaque is the one.
Match it with the rest of their room
The door plaque is often the finishing touch to a child's room. If you already have their name above the cot, choose the same theme and colours as their personalised kids' name letters: door and wall read as one family. For a complete new baby gift, pair it with the personalised monthly milestone cards.
Made-to-measure personalisation with Fluxenna

Kids door name signs: frequently asked questions
It depends on the name. There are four widths: 15, 20, 25 and 30 cm. For short names, 20 cm reads well from the hallway on a standard door. For long names or two names, choose 25 or 30 cm. The height varies by theme and is shown on each product page.
The plaque has two eyelets so you can hang it with cord from a small nail or an adhesive hook. The back is flat, so you can also fix it with mounting strips. On painted or laminated doors, removable strips come off without leaving a mark.
The plaque is a single piece: themed figure and name together, easy to hang and reposition. Individual letters are stuck on one by one and show the door between them. The plaque is easier to read from a distance; individual letters take up less space.
Prices range from €15.99 (15 cm) to €29.99 (30 cm), the same for every theme. The name, letter style and both chosen colours are included at no extra cost. Shipping is free.
Each plaque is made with the name you type and leaves our workshop in 48–72 hours. Delivery takes 3-5 days from your order. If it's for a birth or a birthday with a set date, order with about ten days to spare.
Yes. You choose the plaque colour and the name colour separately, from 25 shades. Each theme comes with a suggested pairing, such as navy blue and yellow for Space, but you can change it to match the room.
The corners and tips are rounded and the plaque is a single piece, with no parts that can come loose. Even so, hang it out of reach while they're a baby. If your child already opens the door on their own, the adhesive option stops the plaque swinging and knocking.
We make the name exactly as you type it, so check accents and spelling (Noa or Noah) before confirming. If we've made a mistake or the plaque arrives damaged, we'll replace it free of charge. As it's a personalised product, the 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply.
